Delivery & returns
Free UK delivery, usually within 3 working days.
You can cancel within 14 days of delivery for a full refund, provided the tool is unused and has not been registered or activated. We register and activate your KESS3 only after you confirm in writing that you want us to go ahead and understand that you can no longer cancel once it is activated. This does not affect your rights if the tool is faulty.
And if something isn’t right after activation, talk to us. We’d much rather help you get the tool working for your business than see it sat in a cupboard.

What's included in a KESS3 slave package?
A genuine Alientech KESS3 slave registered to you, 12 months’ Alientech subscription, £200 of file credit on our portal, and your own website with our gains checker, with domain set-up and the first year’s hosting included. A registration lookup can be added for an extra cost. The OBD package is £1,999 and the OBD, bench and boot package is £2,299, with no VAT to add.
Should I buy slave or master?
For most people starting out, slave is the right route — lower cost, and you don't need file-writing knowledge on day one because we supply the files. Master suits operators calibrating in-house. Do I need the Bench & Boot option, or is OBD enough?
OBD-only covers well over 80% of everyday car and van work, so it's plenty to start with. Bench and boot access open up locked and heavily protected ECUs as you take on more varied vehicles. You can always add protocols later — you don't have to buy everything upfront.
Is there an annual subscription?
Yes, after the first 12 months, which are included in every package. The Alientech renewal is £630 a year. Your KESS3 still works without it, but the subscription keeps updates and new vehicle coverage coming, so it's worth factoring into your running costs.
Can I add more protocols later?
Yes. Motorcycle, agricultural, HGV, marine and other protocols can be added to your KESS3 when your work calls for it. Start with cars & LCV OBD and expand as the business grows — it's the most sensible way to manage your budget.
Why not just buy a cheaper KESS3 online?
Because a lot of the cheap ones are clones. They look identical but lack reliable communication, genuine voltage monitoring, manufacturer support and updates — and they tend to fail mid-write, which bricks ECUs. A single failed write on a modern car can cost far more than the money you saved. We only supply genuine, authorised Alientech hardware.
Does it work on a Mac?
No — KESS3 is Windows only. A dedicated Windows laptop for tuning work is the sensible setup, kept separate from your everyday machine.
I've never remapped before — can you help me get started?
Absolutely. Plenty of our customers started exactly there. We supply the tool, the files, and the support to get you going — and if you want a fuller partnership, take a look at becoming a Panache Tuning agent.
